The Academy Community-Based Services (CBS) originated in Norristown in 2007 as a multi-service organization serving children and their families in Montgomery County. Since then, The Academy has grown and now provides services and supports to youth, families, and agencies in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lancaster, Lebanon, and Montgomery Counties. The Academy’s CBS programs allows students to remain in their homes and community while addressing their truancy, educational, social, behavioral, mental health, and employment needs by offering daily, face-to-face contact, supervision, individual counseling, 24/7 emergency intervention availability, and evidence-based programming . The Academy’s Community-Based Services (CBS) mission is to support and improve the lives of youth and families that we work within the communities in which they live. The Academy Community-Based Services operates under the four cornerstones of our program: (1) see the youth and families daily, (2) documentation, (3) communication, and (4) professionalism.
